The secret to free gym sessions!!

Don’t get stuck training at a gym that doesn’t suit you just because you have paid them a huge joining fee and there is no escape...

Not all gyms are right for everyone there are many varying factors that are important to consider. The best way to do this is to get yourself a free gym session.

In my discussions with friends, family, customers and acquaintances over the years I have realized that most people don’t know that when you are looking around for a gym membership you can often have a free trial session at gyms. Make sure that you take advantage of this opportunity for a couple of reasons. When you sign up at your selected gym they will charge you a very hefty joining fee so you want to be sure that you are going to stay there a few years so that you don’t have to pay this fee again for a while. Gyms vary in the amount and quality of equipment, classes, atmosphere and personalities so use it as an opportunity to see if the gym suits your exercise and motivational needs and desires. Also membership prices may vary and if you are a regular traveller or have a long holiday booked in advanced make sure that your new gym has the option of being able to put your membership on hold over that period of time so that you are not just forking out the money for no use. For those of you who have had gym memberships and not made the most of them, choosing a really suitable gym for you in the right price range will be important. There are other options such as pay per week instead of up front and some gyms will direct debit the money out of your bank account each week or month.  If you are a beginner to the gym you may want to ask for a guided tour of the gym and the types of equipment that are on offer. Find out what muscles the different machines work, how to change the weights, and if you are unsure how do complete an exercise be sure to ask the floor supervisors of your gym. If you get poor service you know this gym is not for you. For beginners a good idea is to pay for a personal training session from a gym so that you learn the basics of some common gym exercises. Then you will be able to take this knowledge to other gyms when trialing them. I will have gym exercise demonstrations up with key tips to good form soon, but for now this is my best advice. Train smart and choose your gym wisely.

If you are a heavy drinker who loves exercise:

Try bananas, almonds and a fair bit of lean meat and lo GI carbohydrates!

But really the best would be to leave it alone :)

Try the Double knee jump if you are commited to TrickFit Superness
